Radio 1's Big Weekend Exeter 2016!

So we were lucky enough to get tickets to Radio 1's Big Weekend in Exeter! It was local to us, that put us in the 35% of people who got tickets!

We got a train to the location, then walked the rest of the way. We arrived at 11am, just when the gates opened.

We were meeting our friends there, but we were early, so we had a quick browse, Katie got some sunglasses! Walking around, we came across a fresh lemonade stand, so got some then awaited the first act!

One Republic was the opening act, they were great! We've always loved them (they follow Katie, they use to follow Rach, but they don't now), they're so good live! Sang their good old Apologise.
Unfortunately we didn't get any photos!

We then met up with our friends and headed to the In New Music we Trust stage (we call it the tent) to watch Panic! At The Disco. We loved them live, we'd seen videos of them live, but didn't realise how good they were. They did a cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, it was probably one of the best covers we have seen! Again, no pictures.

After we decided it was about time we had some lunch, so we explored our options and went with a healthy take on a kebab, which was delicious! We ate and saw the tail end of Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Years & Years were next! We saw them for the first time live in early April and we only knew a few of their songs (their biggest hits) and felt like numptys when everyone was singing along to them. We loved the sound of all the songs, so we bought the album and ended up know all the lyrics to every song! So that was great and we appreciated it more.
Years & Years' Set

Scott Mills on the decks, before Iggy Azalea.
Iggy Iggs was on next, she was so good, we are big Iggy fans and this made us love her even more! She had so much energy, kept moving and sat down on her keyboard throne a couple of times.
We got some pictures of her featuring heads...

We then went to the tent to see Skepta. Blooming love him, so much energy in there, it was mental! He was getting the front of the crowd to do mosh pits and he had a few of his 'crew' there, Lethal Bizzle came out for a bit. It was crazy! No pictures, as they came out too dark.
Skepta's Set

Ellie Goulding was on the main stage, but we were so hungry we got dinner we went for a Chinese, which wasn't great, but filled us enough. After that we had churros, now they were good!

Now where to begin...don't get us wrong, we loved all the acts, but the two people we really wanted to see were the last two acts!

The Weeknd was first, he was so good. Everything we expected and more! Loved his little doo bobbing along when he sang and moved. It was amazing! For some reason, we can't get the set up.
Here's the pictures featuring a straw hat...

COLDPLAY!
They are so special to us, because our late step father loved them so much, he got all of us into them. Our eyes were glistening a lot through the classic songs, like fix you and one special one...Yellow, which was one we use to sing on a game with him.
It was so amazing and special, not only to see them live, but to see them headline in Chris' hometown, you could tell he was so happy to be there!
Words can't describe how phenomenal they were.
You NEED to see their set: Coldplay's Set
Rachel took this picture, she's so proud of it. She shot it blind, with a Sony Lense and you can take pictures blind. This is exactly what she did and this is the result!

We then got a lift back with our friends, if we got the train we would've had to leave half way through the set. We really appreciate the lift back!

It was so perfect, because Rachel's 21st was the day after, she couldn't have asked for a better celebration!

Banana Loaf!

Serves however many, depending on the size of the slice.
Ingredients:

140g Self Raising Flour
140g Unsalted Butter  at room temperature
120g Sugar
50g Raisins
2 Eggs
2 Ripe Banana's
1 Table spoon of Honey
1Teaspoon of Baking Powder
Icing sugar for dusting

Optional:
50g Pecan
50g Chocolate Chips
Method:

Pre Heat the oven to 180ºC

Place your butter and sugar in the mixing bowl and cream together, until it is pale and fluffy.

Gradually add in the flour and then the eggs, mix slowly together.

Add your raisins, honey and baking powder into the mixture.

Mash up your two bananas, once done add to your mix.

If you're adding pecans or chocolate chips, add them in now.

Grease your loaf tin and then pour in your mixture.

Before placing in the oven lift your tin a couple of inches up and drop gently onto the surface. Repeat this three times. This gets rid of the air bubbles from the bottom and brings them to the top.

Then bake for 30 to 40 minutes. To check if the cake is ready pierce through the center of the cake. If there is no mixture on the knife, that will mean it's ready.

Make a cup of tea and enjoy!

We took a trip up to London this month, which was amazing! We went to Harrods and bought a few souvenirs, between us we got two cosmetic bags and a note book. We also got a few bits from MAC.
The cosmetic bag we have linked isn't the same as the one show in our picture. We searched and searched for it online and we can't find it (must only be available in store).

Katie purchased the MAC Prep + Prime whilst in Harrods, it is an absolute god send! We can't rate it enough. You need it in your life, I think that's all we can say about it.

The Estee Lauder Double Wear is the best foundation we have used to date. It makes you look so flawless. It's got great coverage and stays on all day.

Rachel has a problem with eyeliner staying on, it always seems to smudge, she's tried so many and the only one that stays on for a long period of time with a good applicator is the Rimmel Glam Eyes.

The Nightwear Plus was a sample, but we will be investing in a pot of it when we run out. It makes our skin feel amazing, so light it doesn't feel like there is anything on your face.

The Balm palette is amazing we got this in Tk Maxx, we had been eyeing it up for weeks and we eventually decided to buy it. We have no regrets its honestly amazing, its so pigmented. They are the perfect shades for any skin type! Katie uses it everyday as part of her makeup routine.

With the bareMinerals powder foundation, we use a small amount as powder (we get an oily forehead), it just seems to do the trick without it looking caked. It has been out a lot this month.

Spice lip liner has become Katie's favourite colour to wear, it is so in trend and flattering. She has had lots of compliments wearing it mixed with myth lipstick.

Provocalips is such a wonderful liquid lipstick! It really does last when you put the top gloss on. They have many different colours some look similar to Kylie Jenner's range (we haven't been able to get our hands on Kylie's yet, so we can't compare). They stay on all day and are very alternative.

Ok...so the Creme eggs have been a thing this whole month. Rachel came home from the shop with the bucket full of them. There are 42 altogether. She just can't resist them, the thought of having to wait a year for them to come back depresses her.

A Look at Our MAC Lipstick!

We can't really call this a collection, it's just a little look at what we have so far. We don't have many, but we if you're anything like us you'll like looking at the shades no matter how few there are.

We have quite a dark pigmented lip and find that Velvet Teddy and Mehr are a nude on us.

Easter Brownies!

 Serves 12
Ingredients:

150g Self Raising Flour
180g Butter
300g Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3 Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Cocoa Powder
80g Milk Chocolate
80g White Chocolate
Mini Eggs for Decoration
Icing sugar for some dusting
Method:

Pre heat the oven to 170ºC.

Melt the butter in a pan on a gentle heat, before it has fully melted add in the sugar.

Mix the flour and vanilla essence, then add the eggs and cocoa powder.

We melted the chocolate in the microwave, we put it on for 30 seconds and kept checking it until it melted.

The stir in the chocolate to the mixture.

We wanted a few chocolate chips in with the mixture too, so we chopped up some chocolate and added a couple of chunks.

Grease a baking tin, then pour the mixture in.

Then bake for 30 to 40 minutes. To check if ready, pearce the brownie in the center. If there's no mixture on the knife, that will mean it is ready.
Hope you enjoy making it as much as we did. They were very tasty!

Teeth Whitening Review!

Hi Guys,

I have been looking at reviews on teeth whitening products and I was so unsure.
I noticed how white a family members were, I asked her she told me that it was Crest and she really recommended it. I would never had invested if our family member hadn't recommended it to me (it isn't the cheapest).

I tested the Crest 3D whitening strips and I am really impressed!

Here are my results...

The top is before and bottom is after:
There is quite a huge difference, I didn't realize how yellow my teeth were! I feel quite disgusted and embarrassed with how bad they were.

I started seeing results on the fourth day and in total (to achieve these results) I used seven days worth. I still have another seven left to use. The instructions say leave it on for thirty minutes, but I left it on for an hour, so that might be why i have achieved this result in such little time.
I did read a lot of reviews saying that they made their teeth sensitive, but I already have sensitive teeth, so I wouldn't be able to tell.

My plan is to keep up with a whitening toothpaste and when I feel that they're not as white I'll do another strip!

In all I would definitely recommend these strips, I bought mine from this website: Crest 3D White

I hope this helps a little, as I could've done with reading a short, simple and non-sponsored review.
