Hot Chocolate Sticks & Cookies.

Two quick and easy recipes we are loving at the moment. Another thing we are loving is this mug, it is from Clinton's £8.
Firstly we shall start with the hot chocolate sticks.

Ingredients:

1 bar of Lindt Mint dark chocolate
1/2 Teaspoon of Coconut Oil
Cake Pop Sticks
Ice Cube Tray
 Method:

Place a saucepan on the stove, filled half way with boiling water. Break the chocolate bar up and put in a heat resistant bowl and put on the pan to melt.

Once melted, spoon the chocolate into your ice cube tray. Let the chocolate set the slightest, so that the sticks can stand.
Let them set out of the fridge for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to the fridge.

When set warm some milk on the stove, then pop in your stick and give it a stir.
The bigger your ice cube tray, the stronger your hot chocolate will be. If you have a small one, we'd recommend to add two.

The Tanya Burr inspired Cookies!

Ingredients:

200g of Butter
300g Caster Sugar
275g Self Raising Flour
1 Egg
75g of Cocoa Powder (for the chocolate ones)
1/2 Terry's Chocolate Orange
1/2 Pack of Oreos
1/2 a box of Mint Matchmakers
Matchmaker Method:

Pre heat the oven to 200c.

Firstly cream together the sugar and butter.

Then add in your egg and mix together, when mixed, add in your flour.

After break up the Matchmakers and mix in well to he dough.

Line your trays with parchment paper, you then put them in the oven for 10-12 minutes.

When you remove them from the oven, you still want them to look a bit gooey.

Oreo & Chocolate Orange Method:

Follow the previous method, but when you add the flour to the wet mix, add in the cocoa powder.

Enjoy with a nice hot drink or dunked into a glass of milk!

You can't beat a good bobble hat, we both have a pretty good collection. It is a steal, it is really good quality for £3! And it's super cosy!

Maliboo has been one of our most used product this month! We love it so much, the colour is amazing and suits any skin tone.

This candle is AMAZING! We went back to buy four more. They make your house smell like freshly baked gingerbread. We would go as far to say it is just as good as Yankee. We did try the reed diffuser, but that is no where near as good as the candle.

Olympéa was bought for Katie for her birthday and she has worn it every day without failure! It is a great perfume (Christmas is coming up...may be a good present) and it lasts all day. It is a sweet scent.

This foundation is great, it is medium to full coverage. It is oil free, which is perfect for us, as we have combination skin. It isn't a heavy foundation, which makes it perfect for every day use.

Estee Lauder NightWear is always a favourite, it is used every night and has helped clear our skin a lot. It may not work for everyone, but for us, it is a God send.

Hand cream is an essential in the Autumn/Winter. Zoe has such an amazing range, we are loving the Christmas smells going on! The hand cream is so moisturizing and really makes your hands feel lovley and hydrated, without feeling greasy.

Simple is such an affordable and great brand. Their miscellar water is something we have been buying for months now and for the price, you can't go wrong.

The phone case was bought on a whim, Rachel stumbled upon this at B&M Bargains she couldn't resist. It has two light settings and is very good for the price. It has a charging port and comes with a charging cable. Katie really wanted to get one, but they didn't stock iphone 7/7plus cases, which is the only default with it.

We have a bit of a thing for fairy lights, Poundland have a big selection we couldn't resist buying some. We did get another set, but the light was a blue, so check that they are the colour you desire.

Autumn Berry Granola.

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Mulberries
1/3 Cup of Organic Maple Syrup
1/3 Cup of Pumpkin Seeds
1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon
1 Egg Cup full of Sunflower Seeds
A dash of Ginger
A dash of Nutmeg
As many Raisins as you like!
With the Organic Oats, we fill our jar 3/4 of the way as a measurement

Method:

Pre heat the oven to 180ºC.

Put all of your dry ingredients (NOT the raisins yet) in a mixing bowl and mix together.

When mixed, stir in your maple syrup.

Once everything (still NOT the raisins) is added, grab a baking tray and spread your mixture evenly on it.

Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes. After the first 10 minutes of it in the oven, give it a mix so it is baked evenly.

When done, finally add the raisins and give it a good stir.

Put it in your desired jar/container and it's all ready.

We usually make it once a week!

It is an extremely healthy breakfast.

Halloween Cupcakes.

Serves 9 larger cupcakes and 12 small
Ingredients:

110g Butter or Margarine at room temp
110g Caster Sugar
110g Self Raising Flour
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1-2 Tablespoons of Milk

Buttercream Icing:

140g Butter at room temp
280g Icing Sugar
1-2 Tablespoon of Milk
A Few Drops of Food Colouring

Method:

Pre heat the oven to 180ºC.

Cream your butter in your mixing bowl, then add in the sugar and mix until pale and fluffy.

Gradually beat in the eggs. Then fold in the flour and add in the milk. Add the vanilla extract.

Separate your mixture into two bowls, then add in your food colouring.
Spoon some of each mixture into the cupcake case, then taking a cocktail stick, slowly mix the colours together to create a marble effect.

Place on a baking tray and put in your oven for 10-15 minutes. To check if they are done, pierce through the center on the cake with a skewer and if it comes out clean that means it's done.

Whilst they are cooling, start on the icing.
Cream the butter, then gradually add the icing sugar, then milk and finally the food colouring.

Now fill your piping bag and start icing. Then add your decorations and you're done.

Grab a drink, put a scary film on and you are sorted for the eve.
The marbling didn't turn out quite the way we hoped, we didn't put enough black food colouring in as we didn't want it to change the flavour. It tastes lovely!
